Krissy Dieruf
Krissy is a middle child, a peacemaker, a rebel, and a storyteller. She loves to laugh as much as she loves a good cry. Growing up, her mother ran a daycare in their home, and she began babysitting at a young age. She went into tutoring and teaching. Ultimately, she earned a degree in child psychology, a master’s in marriage and family therapy, and became a licensed therapist, primarily working with children.
She believes that everyone needs to talk about the hard stuff, teachers are saints, and if a kid has one adult at school who they know loves them, they will grow up to save the world.
She writes middle-grade, YA, adult fiction, personal essays, and articles about mental health and parenting.
Most of the time, she can be found reading books in parking lots while waiting to pick up her kids. She would do anything for her boxer, Loki. And when she’s not walking the dog or writing, she’s plotting crazy plans with her husband, and chasing dreams.
